Mason is 4 months old today!  He’s giggling lots and learning new things each day.  He has started rolling from his belly to his back now and has become an expert at jumping in his new Jumperoo.  He likes his new Bumbo seat too, but still needs to work on not falling to the side in it.  I think he gets too curious in it and twists himself all the way around!  Mason has discovered another love in his life-the TV.  He will just sit in front of it and stare at the screen, we may have a problem on our hands in the future:)  He had his appointment last week and is now 14lbs 2oz and 25 inches long.  The only thing I have to complain about is now that he’s older he decided to start waking up at night again!  I tell him this was for when he was just a little tiny thing, he hasn’t listened to me yet.  Hopefully he will start sleeping good again soon.  He’s a great little guy, we enjoy him more and more each day!

On the Road!

Since Thursday we have been “on the go”, seemingly traveling across I-80 time and time again!  Each time the leaves get prettier and prettier, it is cool to watch.  We started our trip out to State College until Saturday and had a great time visiting with the Welliver’s and catching up with other friends as well.  Mason and Chase got along great.  Chase entertained Mason very well and even tried to share his juice and crackers with him multiple times.  It was hard to explain to him that he’s just a little too small yet to eat crackers and drink juice!  Mason had his first pictures taken at the lion, we got some great shots.  He got his first t-shirt too!  While there we got to go to the insect fair and see some really gross bugs and topped it off with a walk to the new Creamery building.  Scott and Michelle treated us to some ice cream on dry ice for the road.  We love Creamery ice cream!

After coming home from State College on Saturday, we headed back out I-80 for the Orchard Group Retreat with Discovery Staff.  We spent a couple of days at Young Life’s Lake Champion Retreat Center out in the woods.  It was really nice to get away and have some time to think.  Mason even came along and did great.  He like hanging out in the trees along with his Mom and Dad.  We don’t have pictures to prove it, but we braved it on the ropes course you see below.  The highest point was 43 feet in the air, it was pretty nerve racking for someone like me who is deathly afraid of heights!  Then we took a zip line to the bottom.  Greg landed on his feet, but I did a “back flop” into the dirt, I guess I need to work on my running landing!
