It’s hard to believe that Mason is just a little over 2 months old now! He’s growing fast, he is now 11 lbs, 2 oz. and 24 in. long. He got his second set of shots at his appointment this past week and did great. It was hard to watch because he was all smiley before he got them and then when the needle went in, his face got so red and he let out a big cry. He quickly calmed down though and only had a little fever that night. He was a trooper:) We have been getting some giggles from him lately and are waiting for some big laughs soon! Enjoy the pics.

Skyblast Night!
August 23, 2007 · Leave a Comment
On Friday night we came home from Philly, dropped Mason off with his Grandparents, picked up Shari and headed off to Skyblast night at the Pirates game, who happened to be playing the Phillies! It was a beautiful night so we got some good pictures on the way and at the game. The fireworks were great, too bad we don’t have any pics. Smashmouth played after the game too, they were ok, but not as good as the fireworks. It was a good night!

Trip to Philly

Sorry about the poor layout of the pictures, I couldn’t figure out how to do it nicely in the time I had! But, I figure, at least you get to see some recent pics. We took a trip out to Philly to visit with family and friends this past week. We had a great time relaxing by the pool, going to the zoo, building a good campfire and eating some good food! Mason enjoyed his first visit to Philly, he slept his first 8 hour night and cried much less all week:) He did great in the car and slept most of the time. He even enjoyed his first trip to the zoo. He made it to the Philly zoo before the Pittsburgh zoo, kinda funny. Enjoy the updates!

First Wedding!
August 23, 2007 · Leave a Comment
Greg recently performed his first wedding! He did a great job and is now open for business:) Greg had a lot of fun spending time with the couple in the weeks before the wedding. He had his first sessions of marriage counseling! It was kind of neat for him to do this wedding because he was referred to by someone who used to work with him at Wal-Mart, who knew he went to work for a church. He got to see several people who he used to work with, who definitely are not quite the regular “church goers”. He was excited to allow them to see what his is doing now and present a message to them during the wedding. Thanks to the other Discovery pastors who helped him through the preparation!

Kidquest!
August 4, 2007 · 1 Comment
Discovery Waterworks had it’s first Kidquest this week at Aspinwall park! It was a great time for the kids and one of their favorite activities was shaving Greg’s head…
I actually really like it and Greg thinks its much cooler and no maintenance! I think Mason has more hair than his Dad!
Discovery Cranberry has their Kidquest this week at North Boundary Park…we’ll see what they can think of to do to Greg then!

First Smiles!
August 4, 2007 · 2 Comments
The past week or so we have been getting some actual real smiles out of Mason! Before whenever he smiled they were kind of “half hearted” and we were told “he just has gas”. Well, we are going to take these for real, what do you think? We wish we could tell you that he looks like this most of his day. but if you scroll down….
This is what our little guy usually looks like:) Mason is a fun guy to have around and often a loud one at that! His pediatrician says he looks perfeclty healthy, he just may be a bit “colicky”. Everyone has a different definition for “colic”, but basically he cries a lot mostly because he’s overstimulated by the environment and has trouble soothing himself back down. His Dr. said he’s just going to be a smart kid who knows what he wants in life:) I think he’ll be like his dad! We’re just trying to ride out the worst of it, supposedly the crying should improve after 3 months, I sure hope so! One thing we have found that has literally been a miracle, is something called the Miracle Blanket. It’s a swaddling blanket that babies can’t get out of, which often happens in regular blankets. Our friends gave it to us from church to borrow, it was their daughter’s, and yes we are wrapping our little boy in purple and pink. We’ll just use the pictures to tease him when he’s older and hope he doesn’t have an identity crisis before then! With the blanket he has miraculously started sleeping 5-6.5 hours a night and then another 3 after feeding. He even will take a nap in it during the day! If you have a young baby under 4 months or are going to have a baby, this is a must have. Go to www.miracleblanket.com to check them out. Here’s a picture of him sleeping away!
And, some other pictures of our little guy. He spent his first night away from us when we went to a wedding. He did great for Aunt Shari! We hope you enjoyed some updates!
