Not the zoo?

ol00024.jpgol0052.jpgWell, we’ve been up to more than going to the zoo…we can’t figure out if it’s winter, summer, spring or what!  I think that leads me to the point that it is spring, because if it were cold all the time it would be winter and if hot all the time summer.  Spring is that gross, rainy, cold, but sometimes really comfortable temperature time in western PA.  We’re actually having a couple over for dinner tonight that have recently moved from Philly and started coming to Discovery.  I smell the great aroma of dinner in the background and that beautiful pregnant wife of mine is the absolute greatest.  Things are going well in her pregnancy and she is cute as ever.  If anyone is around the Blawnox area we would love to see you and I can show off Devon even more!  Our baby boy is making himself known to us, especially Devon recently.  He is going to be a strong guy with his elbows and kicks.  Enjoy the mud and rain!

The Zoo…

ol0099.jpgol0056.jpgol0019.jpgol0112.jpgWell, maybe some of you haven’t gotten to the zoo in a while, I don’t know.  It seems that I’m going through a spurt right now where I am really enjoying going there (we have the membership so going feels like I’m getting my monies worth.)  Heading to the zoo is also good exercise (which I am not getting enough of these days.)  At any rate, I am enjoying our digital camera at the zoo.  I got back from the zoo to find out that I had taken 108 pictures of the animals…a little different angle, zoom level, lighting…it’s just so easy to snap off 5 pictures with no printing consequences.  If you want to see more of the animals, I think I’m going to take the best of and make a page out of them…although, they are not nearly as exciting as those of Devon and I.  They are a ‘captive’ audience and don’t object to their picture being taken though.  Enough rambling.  Just thought I’d throw it out there that the zoo is a fun place to go for even just an hour (if you have the pass.)  It’s also nice that it’s 3.5 miles from our house!

Devon and baby

ol0015.jpgol0003.jpgHey everyone…sorry it has been so long (ok only one week) since I put anything up.  Devon is looking so cute!  She always has, but this is that type of cute that you only get for a few months at a time.  On Saturday, Devon began her ‘my feet are tired’ rituals after grocery shopping, cleaning the house, doing laundry, going to the zoo with my parents, making dinner, and making a cake for my mom’s birthday!  My feet were tired too!  Dev is such a champ though and has noticed her back and feet bearing more weight.  She also gets kicked all day long by the little guy and says that she feels like she has lots of stomach muscle spasms.  Check out the picture section for some updated stuff!

Well, this Saturday was the first time that Devon and I got to go to the Pittsburgh Zoo together and it was a lot of fun!  We got some really good shots of the animals and most of them were fairly active.  Pittsburgh just got tiger cubs which were so much fun to watch; they were playing with each other and their mom.  The Polar bears were just fine with the cold weather (just took a swim before this picture!)  Well, we had a really good time together and can’t wait until it warms up a little bit to go back.

Technology

March 2, 2007 · 3 Comments

feed.pngtechnology.jpgWell, I’m not 100% positive of what the picture to the left is…but I don’t know that it matters because I just like the colors and depiction.  I’ve titled this post as ‘technology’ because I am constantly astounded by what we can do and how quickly things progress.  Three months ago I hardly knew what a blog was and now I’m writing and posting and editing and adding pictures…you get the point.  Not only that, I’m trying to keep up with what others are saying and doing.  It has a weird way of connecting people.  I haven’t talked to some of the people that have blog sites, but somehow I feel connected with what is going on because of their posts.  Now I have found a new way to make sure that I don’t miss out on what they have to say.  I know within a day of when they post because I have them as a ‘feed.’ That is the other picture I have posted.  It is probably in the top bar of your Internet explorer task bar.  When it is gray, you can not upload the feed.  When it has the orange hue to it, the website you are viewing is updated frequently and by using this tool, it will check and only let you know when updates have been made.  Now I love all of the people that have websites, but checking all of them every day would become mundane, especially if no new material was present.  Now, there is a reason to update your site.  I won’t be offended if you add our blog site to your ‘feeds’ and actually suggest it!  What a great new technology.  Falling behind more and more with technology…Greg.
